agree with this reviewer, it's a fun
place to visit, there are a couple of
little art galleries and stores in town
as well. Great bird houses sold out
of the back of a truck for example.
The restaurant is located in an old
hotel in Valley Ford and the ambiance
is simple and pleasant. There is a lively
bar in the front room. The food is good,
and great appetizers to go with a drink
too. Wed night $1. oysters in the half shell.
Cafe Aquatica is located north on the coast, at Jenner. An aquarian hang out, lovely views of the Russian River mouth to the sea along with fresh delicious organic sandwiches, salads, soups and coffee drinks. On the weekend it's a delight to sit outside, watch the water and listen to the Flamenco guitarist play his music for you. More info>> |

Across the street is the Underwood, which is a step up in cost, great place to go
for oysters, and I recommend it especially if
it's a hot day because then you can eat outside
on their patio where it is quieter. It is noisy inside. A very active bar where the young
